Taste Bud Satisfaction: Nature’s Path Pumpkin’n’Spice Bars

naturespath.com

Having consumed several boxes of these over the past few months, I wholeheartedly recommend Nature’s Path Organic Pumpkin’n’Spice Flax Plus Chewy Granola Bars.

I know the optimal way to be healthy and make smart food choices is not to hoover up packaged stuff all the time, but it’s not always easy for the worker bee to whip up scrumptious, healthy snacks in our jealously-guarded free time. At least that’s one of my excuses.

And these have a great dose of healthy as far as I’m concerned. For those keeping track at home, the sodium level comes in at 80 mg and total fat 4g. Of the 12 ingredients, granola heads the list, closely followed by pumpkin seeds and flaxseeds with molasses bringing up the rear. Invert cane syrup is 5th on the list and evaporated cane juice is #9.

It’s really nice to have a snack that doesn’t have sugar as the #1 ingredient, in any of its disguised forms.

So with all the good news, what about the taste-bud satisfaction? Imagine this: A beautiful collation of crunchy seeds in a deliciously chewy mix that doesn’t crumble to bits all over your desk when you bite into it.

When hunger strikes, these puppies solve it.

  1. This line is awesome: “it’s not always easy for the worker bee to whip up scrumptious, healthy snacks in our jealously-guarded free time.”

I am going to by some of these; thanks for the tip! I love healthy snacks and my tastebuds are always craving something new.
