Look back at some of the writing you’ve done in your job, for an executive eye, for a press release, Facebook, and so forth. We’re often taught the “corporate” way to write, which tends to be more clinical and academic than otherwise.

I get that we all have style guides to follow that go beyond punctuation, but how often do we make our writing too impersonal?
