Resource roundup! Indie authors get quickly accustomed to finding deals and freebies, because every cent counts when you’re doing it on your own.

Try these out, and let me know what you think.

  • Free Online Book Mockup Maker. You can pop your current or upcoming book cover image into this really cool 3D book cover creator. And, as you’ve no doubt already thought, you can turn any image into a book cover, no writing required.
  • Free JPG-to-PDF Converter. Putting together your own ARC books, or just want to see all those wonderful illustrations in an easier-to-view form? If you don’t have Abode or a similar program, the online world is here to help.
  • Free PDF Compressor. Sometimes those illustrations run into hefty megabytes. Foxit, which is an alternative to Adobe, offers a free online compressor. Here’s the free reader, also.
