“Beyond Stone” goes far beyond a sculptor’s realm

“A riveting tale about the fine line between fantasy, reality, and the happiness and perils of sculpture as an art form. . . . Andie’s statues hold the key to her survival. The question remains: Are the statues, in fact, healing Andie’s broken heart and re-sculpting her perceptions, or are they a tool that enables her to forgive herself enough to rejoin life? Fascinating and well-developed, Christine Roney writes a thrilling tale that will stay with the reader long after they have closed the book. A must read.” – Indie Authors Monthly Magazine

“If you love to curl up with a well written, engaging book that you just can’t put down, “Beyond Stone” by Christine Roney is a good choice. The main character in the book (Andi) is a sculptor, developed in depth by Ms. Roney, who pulls the reader into the joys and frustrations of the creative process of sculpting. The journey is a tough one and not until the very end of the book do we know if Andi will survive her tortured journey.”

About the author

Christine Roney began her professional life by earning a Juris Doctor degree in California and practicing law at the trial and appellate levels. While writing briefs for the courts and advocating for her clients gave her much satisfaction, she eventually realized that she wanted to take a more artistic path.

She completed the professional screenwriting program at UCLA Film School and has written several screenplays. And although she loves the screenplay format, Christine decided that writing novels would allow her to delve much deeper into the characters that play around in her head.

Recently, Christine started The Roney Writes Podcast. The tagline for the podcast is “Let me tell you a story” because that’s what it’s about – stories. Christine writes them and narrates them. Her stories are multidimensional – they will intrigue you, entertain you, sometimes make you laugh, sometimes make you misty-eyed and, most of all, leave you eagerly anticipating the next episode.
